WILL THE LEGISLATURE PASS RENT CONTROL IN 2023?

House bill 6 has been introduced which further restricts multi-family owners.  See attached bill.

1. Write or email your State Senator and your State Representative and tell them you don't support this bill.
2. Join the Albuquerque Apartment Association who will lobby for you against this bill. www.aanm.org
3. Make a donation to CASA NM Political Action Committee, the Coalition Of Albuquerque Solutions For Abodes, which is pooling resources to lobby against this bill.  www.casanm.homes

Senator Linda Lopez (D) Bernalillo and Representative Patricia Roybal Cabellero (D) Bernalillo will be introducing this bill in the upcoming session. 

Currently, New Mexico state law prohibits local jurisdictions from passing codes or ordinances that regulate what private landlords charge for rent.

What can you do to stop this?
